PUSAG to lunch it's first Magazine

As part of the Private University Students’ Association of Ghana (PUSAG) new direction of telling its own stories, setting its own agenda and communicating  to its publics, it will compile the maiden edition of the much anticipated magazine dubbed ‘PUSAG IN SCOPE 1st Edition’’ After a thorough consultations and deliberations with the able editorial committee of the association, the birth of the first of its kind PUSAG magazine is nigh. ‘’PUSAG In Scope’’ tends to bridge the gap of misinformation, uncertainty with educative, informative and entertaining piece. It will publish all PUSAG events from all member institutions in Ghana such as Students Representative Council Week, Akwaaba events, Hall events and other events, to national events such as PUSAG games, congress, senate, debate and public speaking competition , Face of PUSAG etcetera. The contents of the magazine will include executive messages, sponsors message, pictures, articles of interests, stories, poems, jokes

Kidnappers of Canadian girls had a bomb

It has emerged that an explosive weapon was found among the arsenal of the kidnappers of the two Canadian ladies r escued on Wednesday. Pro-government newspaper,  Daily Guide , reports on Friday, June 14 that besides the grenade, the kidnappers had an assortment of firearms “which were kept for defensive and offensive purposes.” Already, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said during a press briefing on the rescue of Lauren Patricia Catherine Tilley, 19, and Bailey Jordan Chitly, 20, that the members of the rescue mission faced significant firepower from the kidnappers. ”Police officers from the Ashanti Regional Police CID in Kumasi were shocked to find the grenade in the house where the two ladies were kept,” the  Daily Guide  newspaper recounts. North Korea accuses US of spreading Ebola and choosing Africa as a bio-weapon testing ground

North Korea  is accusing the US of spreading the Ebola virus, claiming it has been “bent on the development of bio-weapons” in order to achieve world supremacy. The secretive state reacted strongly to the Ebola outbreak by closing its border to tourists and quarantining anyone who does enter. Now, a report by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) is claiming an aide to ex-President Reagan informed them the US had invented a progenitor of Ebola virus “for the purpose of launching a biological warfare”. The aide was named as Roberts, who  The Washington Post   said could be a reference to Paul Craig Roberts, an econmoist. Multiple Grammy winner Angélique Kpasseloko Hinto Hounsinou Kandjo Manta Zogbin Kidjo aka Angélique Kidjo has described Ghana’s Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tando aka DJ Switch as young and amazing. The two met in Vancouver, Canada on Monday, June 3, for the 2019 edition of Women Deliver 2019. Policy changes and investments, for the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women and achieving a more equal world are the focuses of the global conference. DJ Switch and Angélique were pictured hanging out at the conference. The Grammy winner shared their photo on her Instagram with the caption: “With young amazing @djswitchghana in Vancouver for the @women_deliver conference representing @batongafoundation She is 11 years old!!!” The 11-year-old and the youngest DJ in Ghana, has been steadily rising to the top since she emerged the winner of TV3’s Talented Kidz season 8. 

Prez Akufo-Addo Only Making ‘Camera Promises’ – Mintah Akandoh

13 collapse under ‘Tamale heat’ at 62nd Independence celebrations

About thirteen persons have already collapsed under high temperatures at the Aliu Mahama Stadium where the 62nd independence celebrations are being held.  The individuals representing various security agencies at the parade grounds were carried at different points on stretchers off the field by First Aid officials on the ground.  Representatives of the Ghana Immigration Service, police service, the army, air force etc. have remained standing after the march-past as the various speeches are read.  Students of the respective schools which however took their turns marching were taken off the field shortly after the march.  Dignitaries including President of the Republic and Guest speaker, the Niger President are seen with fans trying to cool off with the heat in the area.  Though it got cloudy at the earlier stages of the march pass, temperatures currently can be pitched at approximately 39 degrees Celsius.
