Three times Mahama regretted being a president
As President, John Mahama has certainly done a lot of good things that have endeared him to many Ghanaians and won him many more supporters. But some of his actions have also been very shocking and unbelievable. Even after Mahama leaves office, the following three things he did will always be remembered: 1. Accepting of Guantanamo Bay detainees ( Gitmo 2) Mahama's decision to settle two Guantanamo Bay ex-detainees with alleged ties to Al Qaeda, Mahmud Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih, in Ghana provoked a firestorm of controversy and outrage . Many Ghanaians expressed fear that the move would undermine Ghana’s internal security and expose the country to attacks from religious extremists.
