Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey died on Sunday, March, 2016 in London following a protracted illness.
The national democratic Congress(NDC), says the sad news of the passing away of the former national chairman of the main opposition NPP, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, has hit the party very hard in the heart. In a heartfelt condolence message signed by the party's general secretary, Asiedu Nketiah, said. "We send out our heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended families of the late former chairman of the new patriotic party (NPP). We also commiserate with the NPP in this moment of grief.

Government committed to making Ghana safe - Ambrose Dery

Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has assured Ghanaians that government is committed to making the country safe for the citizens. His declaration follows the current attacks on national security personnel by criminals with the recent one resulting in the killing of Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi who was shot at the Kwabenya Police Station when gunmen invaded the station to free seven suspects. The aggrieved unemployed nurses on Wednesday, April 27, embarked on another demonstration to register their misgivings over delays in their postings. The nurses and midwives at the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra The graduate nurses and midwives took to the street because the Health Ministry has failed to get them posted.
