Election 2016: Top 5 campaign slogans of political parties

Elections remain one of the seasons in
Ghana’s political dispensation which sees
politicians not only make profound
statements and policies but also very
exciting slogans. Here are five of such
campaign slogans.
1. ”Forward ever, backwards never”

This is part of the many other campaign
slogans of the National Democratic Congress
(NDC) ahead of the November 7 elections.
Well, this slogan has attracted much
controversy especially between the party and
the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) as the
latter argues the slogan is theirs.
2. ”Edey bee k3k3”

The National Democratic Congress (NDC)
through its 2012 presidential candidate,
President John Dramani Mahama won the
general elections not just because of the
various policies of the party but also the
entertaining campaign slogan couched from
the advertisement of the telecommunications
network MTN.
3. “Ghana must work again”

Ghana must work again happens to be the
campaign slogan of two major political parties
the NPP in 2015 and also the CPP.he CPP
warned the New Patriotic Party(NPP) to desist
from using its slogan “ Ghana Must Work
Again” this was contained in a statement. The
CPP first used the slogan during the 2012
general election, giving them some sort of
ownership to the saying in the country.
4. ”Arise for change”

It seems the opposition New Patriotic (NPP)
”could” be winning the November 7 general
elections with their decisive campaign slogan.
The said slogan follows economic arguments
against the policies of the incumbent National
Democratic Congress (NDC).
5. ”Positive Change”

Kufour in 1996 and 2000 adopted the slogan,
“Positive Change” suggesting that there was
such negativity, economically, at least, that the
NDC government under Rawlings had
supervised, so it was time to dump the party of
retrogressive.
