PRESS RELEASE: THIS NONSENSE OF FULANI MUST STOP

We the youth group of Asante Akyem  Agogo in the Asanti Akyem North district Operation save Agogo now will not sit down this time around for Fulani Herdsmen to kill us.
It has come to our notice that five military men have been shot by Fulani Herdsmen which something have to be done immediately before it get out of hands .
We the abave group is calling on the president Nana Addo, Member of Parliament and Nananum to do something about it or we will put the law into our hands.
We, therefore, humbly appeal to His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP government to act now on the Kumasi High Court (Land Division) order of 20th January, 2012 to forestall any further bloodshed on Agogo soil.
The NPP government might have plans to solve the issue of the Fulani herdsmen menace in the country in general, but the case of the people of Agogo is unique in many respects.
The people of Agogo, especially the youth, have been pushed hard to the wall by the Fulani herdsmen for far too long, so hard that they are now not allowed to even farm on their own lands! They have been peaceful and law-abiding all these years in the face of wanton aggression by alien, lawless Fulani herdsmen but have now resolved to fight back in self-defence and reclaim their lands even at the cost of their lives!

Unemployed nurses petition President Mahama

The aggrieved unemployed nurses on Wednesday, April 27, embarked on another demonstration to register their misgivings over delays in their postings. The nurses and midwives at the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra The graduate nurses and midwives took to the street because the Health Ministry has failed to get them posted. The nurses and midwives have been home for the past 10 months Clad in their uniforms and red bands, the nurses converged on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra; where they carried placards with inscriptions like – “A hungry nurse is a potential killer, We are tired of staying home, We need our financial clearance now; no more delays, Evidence based nurses and midwives demonstration”. Government committed to making Ghana safe - Ambrose Dery

Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has assured Ghanaians that government is committed to making the country safe for the citizens. His declaration follows the current attacks on national security personnel by criminals with the recent one resulting in the killing of Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi who was shot at the Kwabenya Police Station when gunmen invaded the station to free seven suspects.
