Knowing one's self in other words self-identity, has been a major topic in the social sciences and even in religious presentations. Man know thyself is a biblical text which instructs every individual to endeavor to unravel his or her real self or identity. This topic represents a whole concept of ideals and spheres of an individual's existence so far as relation with variety of people in social cycles are concerned.

Even though one's physical appearance constitutes his overall nature, it does not have much telling on his or her dispositions, aptitudes or personality. As such, it is a peripheral determinant of his genetic constitution and to a larger extent the stature of his divine purpose.

The concept of temperament is of significant importance not only to the field of human psychology but also to the holistic nature of human relations. Thus who you are encompasses; your temperaments-talents, strengths, weaknesses, personality, background, emotions etc.
It is interesting to know that one's temperament is a capsule which dictates how he relates with other people, how others relate with him, his strengths and weaknesses and a lot more. There are several personality theories that have been developed over the years not for only academic laurels but to demystify the chemistry of human behavior and its undoubted relationship with social cohesion.

We are created differently and as such we are different. Every individual is distinct and unique from others not only in physical appearances but also in the ways we think and act. From the sanguine, choleric, melancholy, phlegmatic to type A or B personalities, everyone of us has within these categories cohorts of traits, behaviours, responses and expressions that codifies a set of strengths and weaknesses.

It should therefore be  every individual's unwavering desire to dissect, discover and unravel who he truly is. For who you are puts you in line with your divine mandate.
The science behind why you behave the way you do and how others behave towards you is the intriguing and the undoubted genetic origin of your personality.

You can only work towards becoming better and overcoming your weaknesses by knowing your temperament. The good news is, all of us can be more than what we are, we are boundless and interesting but we can only take a step forward, and that is by making ourselves better.
