A picture of Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) falgbearer, playing cards with some youth is trending online.

In the picture, Akufo-Addo is seen seated and busily playing the cards with an unidentified man.
It’s not clear when and where it was taken but it has it elicited condemnation from some social media users.
“Hmmm, instead of advising those lazy men to find some work doing, he joined them to play Chacha, all cos of power,” one Peter Agbovi said.
“Playing cards with able young men when they were supposed to be working………what a wonderful leader.,” Joseph Ahorsu also said.

However, there were also words of support for Akufo-Addo, with some users commending him for, according to them, understanding the plight of ordinary Ghanaians.
“That’s a good leader who [has] sympathy for young graduate youth who [don’t] have jobs to consolidate them and also listen what they think towards the 7 November elections,” Joseph Wonemi stated.
“This the kind of friendship leaders must have with the people. Just like couples who were friends before they got married this enables them to stay Peacefully because they share their problems as friends,” Emmanuel Opoku Junior added.

Unemployed nurses petition President Mahama

The aggrieved unemployed nurses on Wednesday, April 27, embarked on another demonstration to register their misgivings over delays in their postings. The nurses and midwives at the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra The graduate nurses and midwives took to the street because the Health Ministry has failed to get them posted. The nurses and midwives have been home for the past 10 months Clad in their uniforms and red bands, the nurses converged on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra; where they carried placards with inscriptions like – “A hungry nurse is a potential killer, We are tired of staying home, We need our financial clearance now; no more delays, Evidence based nurses and midwives demonstration”. Government committed to making Ghana safe - Ambrose Dery

Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has assured Ghanaians that government is committed to making the country safe for the citizens.
