Limited registration: NPP man loses teeth after a punch

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Awutu Senya West district of the Central Region, Patrick Osabutey has lost two of his teeth after he was given a hefty punch to the face by a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Robert Kofi during the limited registration exercise in the area.
Narrating his ordeal to Adom News, Patrick said he was stationed at the Breku registration center to monitor the exercise in the area when Robert pounced on him from nowhere and gave him some punches and asked why he left the NDC to join the NPP.
He said Robert was accompanied by some men who are believed to be working for the District Chief Executive for the area, Sampson Abbey Armah. Robert later led the men into a car that Osabutey claims belongs to the DCE and drove off.
“I was standing when a black car approached the centre. I don’t know whether they were sent by the DCE or not. I was standing when this guy called Robert walked straight towards me and asked why I’m now supporting the NPP and punched me and drove away in the DCE’s vehicle.
Patrick Osarbutey said he has lost some of his teeth after the punches.

In an interview with Adomonline.com, the DCE for Awutu Senya West has denied any involvement in the fracas.
“I am not aware of such developments at all. In fact, as you're talking to me, I’m now coming from the Northern part of the district. I’m not sure its something serious because if it is, the police would have contacted me but I have not heard any issue like that” he asserted.
The limited voter registration exercise began Thursday April 28, 2016 and will end on the 8 th of May, 2016.
Meanwhile, checks by Adom News at the police station have revealed that both Patrick Osabutey and Robert Kofi have lodged a complaint against each other
