Spare parts dealers donate GHc200,000 to Akufo-Addo

A group calling itself ‘Volunteers for Nana Addo’, made up of Abossey Okine spare parts dealers in Accra, has donated GH¢200,000 towards  the NPP flagbearer’s campaign.

The group made the donation when Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visited Abossey Okai to campaign for the NPP to be returned to power, according to a report by citifmonline.com.
Addressing hundreds of supporters at the business hub, Akufo-Addo urged them to supporters to vote massively for the party in the November 7 polls, the report said.
Earlier in January, a group of head porters, locally referred to as ‘Kayayei’, in the Kumasi Metropolis, donated an amount of Gh¢5,000 to the NPP, at a fund raising event held at the Babayara Sports Stadium.

Unemployed nurses petition President Mahama

The aggrieved unemployed nurses on Wednesday, April 27, embarked on another demonstration to register their misgivings over delays in their postings. The nurses and midwives at the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra The graduate nurses and midwives took to the street because the Health Ministry has failed to get them posted. The nurses and midwives have been home for the past 10 months Clad in their uniforms and red bands, the nurses converged on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra; where they carried placards with inscriptions like – “A hungry nurse is a potential killer, We are tired of staying home, We need our financial clearance now; no more delays, Evidence based nurses and midwives demonstration”. Government committed to making Ghana safe - Ambrose Dery

Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has assured Ghanaians that government is committed to making the country safe for the citizens.
