Man injured terribly for campaigning for Mahama A man campaigning for President John Mahama met the shock of his life when hot water was poured on him for supporting the NDC. Prosper Aflamevu go himself injured when a resident in Nakundo in the Northern Region poured hot water on him during his campaign tour to that area. Madam Anita Desoso, the National vice chair of the National Democratic congress has apologised to the NPP and its flagbearer Nana Akuffo-Adoo on behalf of the NDC, over the coffin some youth of the NDC used to mock him. Some youth of the NDC during the launch of their manifesto in Sunyani, paraded a wooden coffin with posters of Nana Adoo glued to it, as a symbol of his loss in the upcoming December elections. The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) meeting to elect a Presiding Member Tuesday ended in a deadlock again when a fight broke between some members. According to reports, an assembly member, Abdullah Muaza traded blows with NDC serial caller during proceedings, leading to a deadlock. This is the second time the KMA elections has ended in stalemate. The Assembly members had on several occasions failed to elect a presiding member to chair meetings of the assembly which is affecting development in the metropolis. A Joy News report said a timely intervention by some assembly members prevented the scuffle from turning bloody. The KMA has 147 members, 91 of them elected, 44 appointed and 10 ex-officio members, who are Members of Parliament (MPs).

A woman has died after she was bitten by a snake at kparikpari in the Krachi East District of the Volta Region, it has been reported. Eyii Akuvi, 44, was returning from the farm with her husband, Aziagome Akuvi, when the unfortunate incident occurred, according to a report by Accra-based Kasapa FM. Eyii had gone into the bush to ease herself when the snake bit her private part. She is said to have screamed out in pain, drawing the attention of her husband who had been waiting for her by the roadside. Concluding that the snake bite was a spiritual attack, Aziagome is said to have put his wife on a bicycle and rushed her to a fetish priest for spiritual and herbal treatment. However, she failed to survive the snake bite, dying later at the fetish priest's home.

Yet another shocking midweek story from Ghana. A man in Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo Region has accused a 19 year old boy, Yasaa Iba, of allegedly impregnating his goat. For illustrative purposes Recounting the incident to Kasapafmonline.com, the owner of the pregnant goat, Kwabena Nindoo revealed that some residents of the area had earlier caught the young Yasaa having sex with the said goat. According to Mr. Nindoo, Yasaa fled before he could be apprehended, leaving behind only his bicycle. Asked how he established that it was the young man who impregnated his goat, Mr Nindoo said, after the ‘torture’ the goat had been subjected to, he intentionally kept it in a safe place and never saw any goat coming near it until he realized that the animal had taken seed. Three market women at the Agbogbloshie market have revealed that President John Dramani Mahama indeed gave them GH¢ 50.00 each during his campaign tour in the Greater Accra region . The revelation made by these market women contradicts claims by the chief of staff, Julius Debrah, that the president rather distributed campaign leaflets to the said traders. A man has been charged with offensive conduct for sprinkling some liquid on President John Mahama. Akwasi Emmanuel sprinkled the liquid on the president when he toured the Agbogbloshie Yam Market in Accra on September 15.
