Bloody Sunday in the sene East district of BA

Two church leaders of the Apostolic Church of Ghana in the Sene East district of the Brong Ahafo region have been reportedly shot dead by armed robbers.

The two, a district pastor and elder of Kajaji of the church were traveling to Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti Region to welcome their area head when the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to Kwabena Manu, an eyewitness said the deceased, Pastor Sackey and Elder Ampaw who were travelling with other church members decided to use a motorcycle to get to the venue early when they were ambushed and killed by the highway robbers on the Atebubu-Kumasi highway.
Kwabena Manu added that the Bible and other belongings of the deceased were still intact at the back of the motorbike on the murder scene. He noted that the police arrived on the scene only for the armed robbers to escape through a nearby bush.
The police in Atebubu has mounted a manhunt for the armed robbers pending investigations.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Ashanti Mampong government hospital morgue.
