Provocative dresses ban in some Ghanaian churches

St John the Baptist Church, a catholic church in Cape Coast in the Central region has placed a ban on the wearing of provocative dresses to church.
The church has placed pictures of the dresses it does not want to see in the church at the frontage of the church.
Andrew Kofi Wofersor, the President of the church noted that such dresses that expose vital body parts of women tempt some weak members and even some of the priests, leading them into temptation.
Joy News’ Richard Kojo Nyarko reported that the announcement received an overwhelming applause from the congregation.
He indicated that, the leaders of the church said they will also engage parents of the young girls who were the skimpy dresses to advise them accordingly.
President Andrew Kofi Wofersor he indicated that the skimpy dresses lead many including the priests into temptation.
