Vehicle in Mahama’s convoy involved in accident


One of the vehicles which was part of President John Mahama’s convoy that toured the Eastern Region was involved in an accident last night.
Communications Minister, Edward Omane Boamah confirmed this information which emerged on social media last night on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Friday.
President John Mahama ended his three-day tour of the Eastern Region after commissioning a pantoon at Kpando Tokor.
“It’s true that one of the vehicles which was part the President’s convoy was involved in accident…,” he confirmed.
The Land Cruiser vehicle with four occupants, he said was part of the President’s convoy.
The accident, according to him occurred at an area between Etsi Amanfrom and Abodekpe en route to Afram Plains.
"The medical team treated the occupants and they are well…we arrived with them in Accra this morning,” he said.
It would be recalled that a team of journalist returning from Ho after covering the President was involved in an accident.
Ghanaian Times Journalist, Samuel Nuamah perished in that accident
