Cristiano Ronaldo bags a hat-trick to guide Real Madrid past Wolfsburg
What an absolutely huge performance. Cristiano Ronaldo at The Bernabeu yesterday.
The Portuguese superstar has single handedly dragged Real Madrid into the semi-finals of the Champions League!
Real Madrid were 2-0 down from the first leg and there was lots of chat about a “remontada” – a famous comeback – and Ronaldo truly delivered.
The atmosphere was excellent in the build-up at The Bernabeu, with Real Madrid receiving a huge send off into the ground and Wolfsburg were blown away almost immediately.
Goals on 15 and 17 from Cristiano Ronaldo put Real Madrid in charge. Then the game settled down at 2-2 on aggregate.
With 13 minutes remaining, Ronaldo bagged the winner to send Zinedine Zidane’s side through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
After such a fine comeback, no one will want to play Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.
Not with Cristiano Ronaldo in this form!

Unemployed nurses petition President Mahama

The aggrieved unemployed nurses on Wednesday, April 27, embarked on another demonstration to register their misgivings over delays in their postings. The nurses and midwives at the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra The graduate nurses and midwives took to the street because the Health Ministry has failed to get them posted. The nurses and midwives have been home for the past 10 months Clad in their uniforms and red bands, the nurses converged on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra; where they carried placards with inscriptions like – “A hungry nurse is a potential killer, We are tired of staying home, We need our financial clearance now; no more delays, Evidence based nurses and midwives demonstration”. Government committed to making Ghana safe - Ambrose Dery

Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has assured Ghanaians that government is committed to making the country safe for the citizens. His declaration follows the current attacks on national security personnel by criminals with the recent one resulting in the killing of Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi who was shot at the Kwabenya Police Station when gunmen invaded the station to free seven suspects.
